Cognition is a collective of graphic designers, web-coders and illustrations, set up to help provide websites, posters, flyers, business cards or any other type of design solution completely free of charge to clients and teams who lack design skills, time, or money to outsource work.

We are a non-profit organisation, particularly focused on helping out other creative people. Photographers who want to develop an online portfolio, bands wanting material to promote an upcoming gig, artists who need business cards for networking with potential clients: these are the types of individuals or groups that Cognition was set up to help. Anyone who wants to share their creative vision is welcome to submit jobs to us.

There is no fixed fee for any of our work, and we will always do our best to help.

The concept Cognition was born out of is the belief that creativity is something to be shared. You should each be able to share your art with your community, be it local or global, and we are happy to share our creative ideas to help you achieve that goal.

While our promise of free design for anyone who wants it may sound naive and altruistic, we do stand to benefit as well. Many of the designers, illustrators and coders who work with us are looking to expand their portfolios, either to help find them future employment, or to bring greater diversity to their existing body of work. Our staff likes to think that sharing our skills and proving our capabilities is a superior way to make contacts than trying to hustle our way into existing companies.

We will never charge any clients for the work we provide, but if you want to donate any money to help with the costs of maintaining this site and producing promotional materials you can do so via the link below.

Cognition is made up of a small group of graphic designers, illustrators and web coders who are either in-between jobs, trying to get their foot in the industry’s door, or simply looking to expand their portfolios. Everyone here is concerned with producing exciting, fresh and contemporary designs that suit the clients’ needs.

All of the work we produce is unpaid and completed in our own time, because we see sharing and actively producing work as a much better way to get noticed, particularly for those of us who are just starting their graphic design careers.

Simply fill out the form to the right and the job you want done will be e-mailed to one of our designers. All further communication will be completed via e-mail with the individual who is best suited to the type of design you want.

We will view any and all requests, however due to the fact that we are a not-for-profit organisation there may be some jobs we cannot fulfil due to money or time constraints.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide printing or web hosting services, due to the money involved. We will be more than happy to help recommended affordable printing and hosting companies to you though, depending on what the job entails.
